Youtube channel nextmove uploaded a new video pinning Tesla’s “S3XY” Performance models against each other in the ultimate drag race. The Model S, Model 3, Model X and the new Tesla Model Y face off to see which of these iconic models comes out on top.
If you’re an Tesla enthusiast or owner, you can probably already predict the outcome of this showdown. Just looking at the company’s website, Tesla makes it clear the the Model S Performance takes the cake in regards to acceleration with its 2.3 second 0-60 mph time.
When looking at the larger Model X Performance crossover it doesn’t fall far behind the Model S Performance with a 0-60 mph time of just 2.6 seconds. The Model 3 Performance comes in just behind the Model X Performance at just 3.1 seconds, according to Tesla. With the longest 0-60 mph with have the Model Y Performance with a time of 3.6 seconds.
However, when placed in a real world setting, factors can come into play that could impact the results. These Performance models all come standard with all-wheel drive placing them at the top of Tesla’s range. The drag race, as expected, is over a quarter-mile run.
