REVEALED: 2021 European Map of Ionity Fast-Charging Stations

Earlier this month Volkswagen held its own Power Day, an event similar to the Battery Day that Tesla held last year. During Power Day, Oliver Blume revealed that over the course of this year, the Ionity fast-charging stations would reach four more countries including Portugal, Poland, Estonia, and Latvia. Not only would it expand to four more countries, but the CEO also revealed it would also expand in the countries where it is already present.

Now the company has released an updated map that shows all its new locations. According to the new map, Europe will have 30 new stations in 13 countries.

Although we have images of the networks map, Ionity did not disclose the exact locations. Luckily some inquiring minds over at automotive website Insideevs took the images to Google Maps which did reveal the exact locations.

According to the images, Spain will expand its network with more stations, seven to be exact. They will be able to be found in O Corgo, Milagros, Martín de Yeltes, Mérida, Trigueros, Cádiz, and Casabermeja. The locations that appear to have two stations are located in Cepsa fuel stations and are actually on both sides of the roads.

Last Novemeber, Ionity and Cepsa announced a fast-charging corridor between Madrid and Barcelona. At the time their goal was to “cover the main intercity routes in Spain and Portugal, as well as the main connecting routes with the rest of the European continent,” with 35 Ionity stations at Cepsa locations in 2021.

The first four Ionity locations in Europe will be found at Cepsa fuel stations in Portugal located in Aldeia dos Fernandes (Almodôvar), São Bento do Ameixial (Estremoz), Arrabal (Leiria), and Alheira (Barcelos).

With these fast-charging stations, people traveling from Spain to Portugal will have access to Ionity chargers as they make their way to Lisbon, Porto, Faro, and Gerês, areas known for their high tourist traffic.

When looking at Poland, Świecko, Rombark (Gdańsk), and Kaszewy Kościelne will all receive Ionity stations in Shell fuel stations.

Circle K fuel stations will house Ionity chargers In Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. In Estonia, the Ionity chargers can be found in Märjamaa and Arumetsa, while Lithuania and Latvia will have only receive one. Lithuania will find its charging station in Bijotai, between Klaipėda and Kaunas, while Latvia will have its Ionity fast-charging station in Stapriņi.
