With deliveries of the R1T electric pick-up truck and R1S electric SUV only months away, the anticipation for Rivian’s first production version vehicles continues to grow.
Rivian launched the R1T configurator in November of last year, and with the launch we saw a slew of different color options the automaker was offering. Ten different colors to be exact, but now we are learning that the automaker could offer even more options in the near future.
Just before the start of 2021, Rivian took to Twitter to showcase its all electric pick-up truck “getting in a few last adventures before the New Year.” The images show an R1T driving through the hazy winter scenery of El Capitan mountain in what appears to be a vehicle wrap.
When asked about the coloring of the R1T featured in the photos, Rivian hinted towards “factory wraps” being available for the electric pick-up sometime in the future:
The R1T comes to market with a starting price of $67,500. First deliveries of the electric pick-up are expected to begin in June of this year. The R1T’s SUV brother comes to market with a starting price of $70,000. However, the first variant to see deliveries will be the R1S Launch Edition model, which will start at $77,500 and should see deliveries in August 2021.
