Today, updates made to the Tesla website confirm that the Model S Performance has received an increase of range among other changes to its lineup.
As reported earlier by The Next Avenue, the Tesla Model 3 has received its anticipated refresh and is available for purchase, while the Model Y and Model X also received an increase in range.
The Model S Performance received the largest increase in range which, according to the online configurator, is now 387 miles. A 39 miles increase from its previous single charge range of 348 miles. Interestingly, the Model S Performance is the only trim that received the range bump.
According to an Electrek source, the longer range is thanks to a new “efficiency package” for each model that Tesla has updated its lineup with. Although we are seeing range increases throughout Tesla’s lineup, the only units that have received the new heat pump system update is the Model 3.
