South Korean manufacturer and luxury brand of the Hyundai Motor Group, Genesis is teasing a new electric vehicle concept model.
Genesis is expected to unveil the concept on March 31st, 2021. Until then, what we know is few and far between. However, the new teaser video shows us that we should expect a sporty and futuristic EV.
With the Hyundai Ioniq 5 recent unveiling and the full presentation of the Kia EV6 scheduled for March 30, it only makes sense that Genesis follow suit and hop on the BEV band wagon.
The new all-electric vehicle will be underpinned by the E-GMP platform. Considering the top range, charging and acceleration values for the platform, Genesis’ new EV should come with spec close to the following: More than 500 km (311 miles) of range in an undisclosed test cycle, ultra-fast charging capability (replenishing 100 km/62 miles of range in 4 minutes) using 800V battery system, and 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 3 seconds.
A mentioned above details are sparse regarding the new EV concept model from Genesis, but it won’t be that way for long as the luxury automaker is now just days away from presenting it.
