Owners of Tesla’s Enhanced Autopilot package will now be paying $1,000 less when upgrading to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Package.
Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Package has seen a lot of headlines since the company released a beta to a small group of early access owners in October. The advanced driver-assist features will eventually enable complete autonomous driving according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk .
It is no secret that Tesla is planning to increase the prices of it FSD as software updates are pushed and it inches closer to full autonomy. In July, we saw the first price increase to $8,000 from $7,000, and again in October after the release of the limited beta, when its price climbed to $10,000.
Now, Tesla has decreased the price for owners of it’s Enhanced Autopilot package and reduced the cost of the FSD upgrade by $1,000.
Many features seen in its current FSD package were previously sold under the “Enhanced Autopilot package” which could be the reason for the price drop. For now, Tesla has not given any information as to why the price was reduced.
