The North American manufacturer Rivian has confirmed via Twitter that it has completed all the available reservations for its truck’s first version.
Faced with those who denied a short time ago that the market was not mature and there was no demand for the electric car, Rivian shows that even in a niche market, as particular as that of the pick-up, there are consumers eager to jump to electric mobility.
Rivian’s official account publishes the closing of reservations for its future vehicle’s “Launch Edition” in just one week.
The announcement posted on the social network Twitter states: “Thank you to our community of booking holders for all the support and excitement. Launch Edition pre-orders have been completed. Early access to the configurator continues for pre-order holders to configure our Adventure and Explore packages. Access to the public configurator begins 11/23 at 9 a.m. M. P.”

The American company has not specified the number of reserved units of the first edition of its RT1 and R1S. The first Rivian to roll on North American highways and roads will not be those with greater or lesser autonomy of a range, gradually incorporating new variants.
In total, Rivian will offer three different battery capacities and different finishes and options when it reaches a production of 100,000 units per year.
Rivian’s pick-up is currently priced higher than the successful Tesla Cybertruck by the number of reservations. For the moment, this fact does not prevent it from continuing to seduce a market where supply and competition are increasing.
Rivian has recently confirmed its arrival in Europe and China with the same models that it will sell in the United States, but to develop a more compact product that better adapts to the old continent market’s needs.
