New Spy Shots of Hyundai’s Ioniq 5

The newest spy shots of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric crossover show that the same headlight design will be used as seen on the 45 concept. In the images you can see clusters that have two half halos that look almost identical to the 45’s. (via www.motor1.com):

The electric crossover is still pretty heavily camoflouged in the latest spy shots so whether or not the body has changed compared to the 45 concept remains unknown. However, it is likely that it will stay generally the same. One thing imparticular that we are expecting to see are the sharp creases along the doors which have been present in several new Hyundai models recently.

The photos captured show what looks like a production body underneath a slew of camouflage. The headlights are the most visible thing in the photos as the rear lights are covered by some sort of see through fabric. Although, the rear lights look to be the final design but with the strategically place camo, we can’t say for sure.

Hyundai has really shown its commitment to electrification with the Ioniq 5. There is no set debut for the electric crossover but we could see it before the end of the year. However, with the current on going global pandemic, within the next few months is a much more realistic estimate. Reservations for the Ioniq 5 should be close to opening, and with the start of reservations comes the unveiling, meaning we should be seeing the final production model fairly soon.
