Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter that the company’s ‘Full Self-Driving Beta’ will be released to some customers as early as next week.
Elon Musk has been very vocal in the past few months about Tesla’s continued work on its new core change to Tesla Autopilot calling it a “significant foundational rewrite.” A rewrite that is expected to overall performance and allow for a faster release of new features. Musk even went as far as to call the rewrite a “quantum leap” in August.
Shortly after the CEO’s statements about the fundamental architectural rewrite, it was delayed for an additional “2 to 4 weeks.” Fast forward to current day, Musk said we should expect the “limited FSD beta” to be released next week in a response to CleanTechnica via Twitter:
Musk did not reveal anymore details regarding the upcoming software update, but it is expected to be released to the public come December, should Tesla avoid anymore delays.
