Following a 10 day pause for annual production line maintenance, Tesla Gigafactory 3 production in Shanghai has resumed production.
According to a new progress report video posted by YouTube user WU WA on October 7, 2020, the Made-in-China Model 3 has a daily production number of about 800 units. Producing around 20,000 units a month, these numbers bode well with Tesla’s goal of producing 500,000 cars in 2020.
Furthermore, the Made-in-China Model 3 and the upcoming Made-in-China Model Y are reportedly going to be exported outside China at some point in the future, beginning with Europe.
The speed of construction of Tesla Gigafactory 3 has been quite impressive and is nearing completion. A new Supercharging station was added recently, opening up multiple of stalls in what might be the biggest Supercharging site globally. Additionally, some of the first solar panels were recently installed.
