The electric motorcycle industry in Spain is in full resurgence thanks to electric motorcycles. The latest example is the Pursang E-Track. A scrambler is scheduled to be released in 2021, and that stands out for its design and technical characteristics in a complete set.
As has happened with other initiatives, the promoters have sought a name with tradition. It is that for the most veteran, Pursang was the name of the Bultaco cross of the sixties and eighties that now return as usual by the hand of an electric propulsion system and aesthetics that have raised excellent reviews among all the national and international press.
The industrial engineer Jim Palau-Ribes has revived the PURSANG Motorcycles brand, which from Barcelona hopes to recover old laurels without emissions or noise.
Pursang E-Track: technical characteristics
The Pursang E-Track has a Bosch engine with a nominal power of 11 kW (15 HP), equivalent to a 125cc motorcycle, and enables us to drive it with a car license. An engine that propels you up to a maximum speed of 120 km/h.
One of the differentiating aspects is its battery system. It will have three packs of 48 V and 7.2 kWh of total capacity (2.4 kWh per unit) that will offer an autonomy according to the driving mode that will go from 50 miles of the most sporty way (Boost) through the 70 miles of Cruise mode and reaching the most efficient driving mode that involves reaching 86 miles of autonomy. A battery that, despite being modular, cannot be removed from the body.
A model with a total weight of 147 kilos will allow it to move freely through city traffic thanks to its large turning angle. A model that will also be affordable for shorter drivers thanks to a seat that rises to 820 mm in height. A Pursang will also offer a more equipped version, with a full aluminum chassis and carbon bodywork dubbed the Big Bore.
Pursang E-Track: availability and price
An interesting proposal for those looking for an electric motorcycle with a more elaborate and different design, which is designed and manufactured in Spain, available for reservation for 12,700 euros for the standard version, and 13,700 euros for the special edition.
A model that should hit the market in early 2021, a date by which the Spanish manufacturer hopes to achieve an initial production of 400 units. Something that indicates that those interested will have to hurry to reserve a unit before they are sold out.
