Hyundai IONIQ 5 Specs Posted and Deleted but the Internet is Forever

Hyundai accidentally leaked the specs of its upcoming IONIQ 5. The midsize crossover will be the first electric car under Hyundai’s new Ioniq electric subbrand. No price has been announced for the IONIQ 5, but the specs are looking pretty good.

The Korean automaker announced its new dedicated electric vehicle series, “IONIQ,” last summer. Hyundai confirmed they will launch three new electric cars under the new sub brand over the next three years.

Hyundai says it will “become one of the world’s top EV manufacturers” with the new IONIQ brand with next-generation all-electric vehicles. The IONIQ 5 will be the first of the three promised EVs to arrive with its launch slated for early 2021. It will be based on the futuristic 45 concept, but now we are finding out more than the Korean automaker planned to reveal.

Hyundai accidentally leaked some of the specs of the IONIQ 5 while posting its pre-order page. We can only assume it was human error and the automaker removed it almost as quickly as it went up. But as some say, the internet is forever and several witnesses were able to snap screen shots of the specs (via Electrek):
