Polestar will Officially Bring the Precept to Production

Polestar is officially going to bring the Precept to production. With the Polestar 1 and Polestar 2 already on the market, the company’s will add its third electric car concept, but no timeline has been given.

Polestar announced that it will bring the Precept concept EV to production during the 2020 Beijing Motor Show. “With product development under way, Polestar confirms it will produce Precept in China, where a new production facility will be established. The aim is to ensure the facility will be carbon neutral and one of the most intelligent and connected automotive production facilities in the world.”

“The brand’s future vision” for vehicle design and materials was unveiled earlier this year:

Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, said about the announcement “Stunning. Spectacular. Cutting-edge. We’d like to see it on the road!’ — this is what the press wrote about Precept and the public said, ‘We want it’, so we decided to build it.”

As far as the production location of the Polestar Precept, Ingenlath stated “China is a home market for Polestar and we recognise the increasingly important drive for greater sustainability here. With this new factory, we will again raise the bar, aiming to produce the most advanced and premium electric car in China with the lowest carbon footprint.”
