During GM’s ‘EV Day’ even earlier this year, the company discussed its plans to launch a Bolt EV-based crossover called the Bolt EUV. The company also revealed it would be introducing a refresh of the Bolt EV.
To date we’ve gotten a few teasers with the most recent being a teaser image of the shape of the Bolt EUV. Today, GM released another teaser for EUV that, if anything, has left us wanting more as it is just a 10 seconds clip of the vehicle’s power flow screen:
In addition to the brief teaser, GM confirmed that the Bolt EUV will come equipped with its Super Cruise hands-free driving system: “Chevrolet shared a glimpse of the 2022 Bolt EUV Power Flow Screen, which will give owners critical information about their electric vehicle, including regen braking use and battery charge level. The Bolt EUV will be the first electric vehicle from Chevrolet to feature Super Cruise, the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance system for compatible highways. The refreshed Bolt EV and the Bolt EUV will go into production in summer 2021.”
The new Bolt EV was supposed to come prior to the Bolt EUV, but hardships brought on by the current global pandemic caused delays. Both vehicles are set to enter production in the summer of 2021.
