In a new announcement posted by Jerome Guillen, Tesla President of Automotive, he stated Tesla is looking to purchase more real estate in the Northeast to “open lots of service centers.”
Between October 2019 and March 2020 Tesla has only opened 21 new service center locations around the world. From a comment made last year by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, these service centers are just the beginning as Musk admitted to a “foolish oversight” of Tesla’s coverage and intends to build more.
As the Next Avenue reported just last month, Tesla was looking to expand its service capacity by trying to find new locations in several markets. Areas that included, among others, Atlanta, the Bay Area, and Puerto Rico.
Now, Tesla President of Automotive, Jerome Guillen took to LinkedIn to say that the automaker is looking for new real estate professionals to assist in helping the company obtain more properties in the Northeast.
Guillen wrote on LinkedIn “Looking for exceptional commercial real estate professionals to join the team and help us open lots of service centers in the Northeast. If you feel qualified and are keen on joining us on this exciting journey, please apply!”
In a description of the Real Estate Manager role, the website states “Tesla is seeking a Real Estate Manager for the Northeast US region. You will be responsible for increasing the footprint of locations supporting the specified line of business in your designated region. You will also collaborate cross functionally with internal teams including Sales, Service, Retail Development, Construction and Design as well as Legal, Finance and Lease Administration and external partners including landlords, developers, brokers and advisers to lead and complete new location development.”
