The Audi Q4 E-Tron will be the first mass-produced electric from Audi. A proposal that will also be in charge of launching the Volkswagen MEB platform for those in Ingolstadt, who will put their most economical electric car on the market.
A proposal presented last year and which we currently know only its conceptual image. Everything indicates it does not vary much from the final design with which it will hit the market at the end of this year.
The Q4 E-Tron will have a price in the United States that starts at $45,000. The vehicle will be produced at the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau, Germany, where the German group has invested 1,200 million euros in updating and modifying the line in charge of assembling this model. It will share the space with other MEB proposals.
As for the model itself, as we remember, the Q4 e-Tron is a compact SUV 4.59 meters long (180 in), 1.90 meters wide (75 in), and 1.61 meters tall (63 in). It will have two electric motors that allow you to enjoy a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The combined power of the set is about 306 hp, while the engine torque reaches 460 Nm.
As for the battery, for the moment from Audi, it has only been commented that it will have an 82 kWh pack. Presumably, given the price/capacity ratio, everything indicates that they will follow the VW model and will launch at least two capacities. One of 58 kWh access, which will be the most economical and that will provide about 250 miles of autonomy WLTP. In contrast, the one with the highest capacity will raise the figure above 300 km.
A proposal that would be the sister of the Volkswagen ID.4, but with a higher level of finishes and equipment. It will once again expand the market and make it easier for customers to find what they are looking for when they decide to buy an electric car.
