The CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, talked about the deal between the two companies at the National Press Club happening in Washington DC.
According to Jeff, the carmaker agreed on a deal to make 100,000 electric vans for Amazon, with the deliveries happening between the years of 2021 and 2024.
Rivian has been growing in the past few months due to the expectation of its electric vehicles, the R1T and R1S – electric pickups and SUVs with unique and special features, such as a kitchen camp and a removable roof.
Last week, Rivian received a $350 million investment from Cox Automotive.
This new deal by the company is another vital move in publicity for the automaker. A deal with one of the richest companies in the world is essential to keep the momentum.
