BMW Reveals a New Electric Motorcycle and Car

On BMW’s latest NEXTGen Event, the vehicle company unveiled its new concepts and products: the BMW Motorrad Vision DC Roadster, a motorcycle, and BMW Vision M Next, a car.

The motorcycle itself is still a concept on what the company can achieve. With that, BMW, that is famous for its bikes, can work on models to attract buyers and make the transition to the Electric side easier for old customers.

A strategy also used is having familiar design elements (seen on previous models of Motorbikes) so the change it is not so drastic.

Motorrad

The ‘Vision M Next’ is a sports car, that is very similar to a previous model, the i8. This new model presented is a hybrid. The vehicle can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in only three seconds, and also has a 100 km range.

The model also features a BOOST+ button, which can speed the car’s velocity. According to BMW’s CEO, Adrian van Hooydonk:
“The BMW Vision M NEXT provides a glimpse into the future of sporty driving. Where the BMW Vision iNEXT illustrated how autonomous driving is set to transform life on board our vehicles, the BMW Vision M NEXT demonstrates how state-of-the-art technology can also make the experience of driving yourself purer and more emotionally engaging. In both models, the focus is firmly on the people inside. Design and technology make ‘EASE’ and ‘BOOST’ experiences more natural and more intense.”

The M Next

All the models and concepts were revealed to show that BMW is speeding up their production on EVs, meaning that the future gets closer and closer to our reality. No information was released about the commercialization of the shown products. What to expect from them in a short time now?
