Tesla’s impressive progress at Gigafactory Shanghai continues with the main new structures of the phase two expansion practically completed.
Electromechanical works and commissioning will be completed by November according to unofficial reports. In a new video posted to Youtube yesterday by user WU WA it shows hundreds of Tesla Model 3s that have already been produced and are seemingly ready for deliveries. Furthermore, the site will receive an additional Supercharging station for all those new cars.
Tesla plans to produce its Model Y at Giga Shanghai in Q1 2021. However, the first pre-production Model Y made at the Giga Shanghai is rumored to already be undergoing tests. Could this mean the launch may get pushed to an earlier date?
