Last year a prototype was presented at the Milan Motor Show that quickly caught the public’s attention: the RMK E2! A striking electric motorcycle which outstanding technical characteristics stood out for totally groundbreaking design.
Work of the Finnish RKM Vehicle, the E2 has a rear-wheel system without spokes, with a rim that hides the electric motor inside. A very daring design that its creators also indicate allows it to offer an optimal result.
Inside the rim, we find a powerful 80 kW (109 hp) electric motor with a devastating torque of 1,000 Nm. Despite not having official figures, this should shoot this model up to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.
Regarding the battery, at the moment no details have been given, such as its capacity. Still, according to the manufacturer, it will allow it to travel about 190 miles (300 kilometers) with each charge. Also, thanks to its CCS Combo socket, it will be able to access fast continuous charges. 40 minutes will allow you to reach an 80% charge.
Among the curiosities of this model is that it dispenses like another electric rear brake on the foot. Instead, it will be located in the handlebar ways, which will allow you to configure the footrests to suit the driver to adapt them to your measurements and preferences.
A piece of equipment to be confirmed but where first-rate components such as the Ohlins full suspension, and a powerful Brembo double disc brake system are not lacking.
Now those interested in taking a unit of this striking electric motorcycle can take the first step by making a reservation of 2,000 dollars. This will allow them to be among the first to receive their unit when production begins, which is expected to start at the end of the year.
