The zero-emission SUV will be put on sale in the American market in 2021 and will be presented in Europe in the 2020 Geneva Motor Show next month. The base price of the model will be $37,499, which currently corresponds to about 33,500 euros, at an exchange. The brand already accepts pre-reservations worth $250.
The Ocean is 100% electric and uses a battery of around 80 kWh capacity, which will allow it to offer a range of 300 miles, about 500 kilometers. Also, it promises acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.9 seconds with the possibility of the driver choosing between all-wheel drive or a single drive axle. Therefore, it is understood that it has at least one electric motor on each axis.
In the cabin, minimalist cut, highlights a large touch screen, an instrument panel that is also digital, two wireless chargers for mobile phones or a Head-Up Display that projects driving data on the windshield, and can project the lyrics of the songs played by the audio system. One solution, that of karaoke behind the wheel, which doesn’t seem too sensible. What is interesting is the so-called ‘California’ mode, which opens all the windows of the car to enjoy driving outdoors (or almost).
