VW and Tesla Share German Market

Last week, Musk announced that Tesla will expand to Europe. The company plans to build a factory near Berlin, but they are still dealing with with the issue of deforestation of the area to follow the plans.

Volkswagen Group CEO, Herbert Diess, is willing to share the German market with Tesla. During a call on Monday with analysts and investors, he said:

“What Tesla probably is looking for is the environment, the infrastructure, to build high-quality cars, which is probably much more the case here in Germany than on the West Coast of the United States.”

This factory will probably produce the Model Y, but no clues where the newest member of the fleet, Cybertruck, will be born.
