Lexus Presents its New EV: LF-30 Electrified

With the start of the Tokyo Motor Show, Lexus decided it will reveal the newest car by the company, called LF-30 Electrified.

The futuristic looks of the car includes a glass roof, an extremely modern panel, several features of artificial intelligence, and autonomous technology. As Lexus said:

“A glass roof above the rear seats features voice control and a gesture-controlled “SkyGate” display window that uses AR to display various types of information, such as a realistic star-filled sky, user-favorite videos, and even navigation.”

In the press release, the company showed what the AI can do inside the car:

“Onboard AI distinguishes the voices of vehicle occupants and uses personalized information stored on the driver’s control key to serve as a partner. It facilitates the adjustment of elements of the interior environment, such as air temperature and audio, and the setting of navigation routes and destinations, while also making proposals for activities after arrival. It also understands the driver’s preferences and helps them control the suspension and powertrain settings in real-time according to the driving scene.”

On specs, the LF-30 Electrified has a battery capacity of 110kWh and a charging speed of 150 kW. The Lexus can reach 62mph in 3.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 124mph. Here is the full table with information on the car:

As a new differential, the company presented a feature that is incredibly different from what you’ve seen so far. ‘Lexus Airporter’ is a drone that can do tasks such as carrying the luggage from the car to someplace else. It also works with autonomous tech and independently. It will be fun to watch how it will actually work with the customers.

The ‘pointy’ look of the electric car is quite nice. This difference from other regular vehicles can make Lexus grow in the market of EVs.

No more info on price or release date was shared, but you can read the whole report on the car here.
