Arcimoto Starts the Production and Deliveries of its EVs

The new three-wheeled electric vehicle can be considered to be half car and half electric motorcycle. It is called the Arcimoto’s Fun Utility Vehicle (FUV).

The company that has been working on the EV for more than ten years now, has so far come to the market with an attractive price of $19,990. The intention is to reach $12,000 with time.

Considered to be a motorcycle, the car has two wheels on the front, and it even resembles a kart. At the end of the first semester of this year, there were 4,128 reservations of Arcimoto’s vehicle.

On the specs, the EV reaches 75 mph at its top speed, and has a range of 102 miles. Instead of having a steering wheel, it actually has heated grips and removable doors. Take a look at it:

The president of the company stated:

“The FUV represents a significant step toward a sustainable transportation future in which vehicles are fully electric and right-sized for the needs of everyday drivers. This is a truly significant moment for Arcimoto as we launch retail production and delivery of the Fun Utility Vehicle for the first time in the company’s history.”

The car looks a lot like the Brazilian EV Gaia that spoke to The Next Avenue. You can find the interview here.
