In a Tweet made by Tesla, the company stated that the next time the Model S hits the tracks it will be able to complete the course in 7 minutes and 5 seconds.
Tesla finished the Nürburgring track in 7 minutes and 23 seconds. Competing with the new Porsche Taycan, who also tried the course. Elon Musk’s car came out as the best by a 20-second difference.
Now the company alleged that they will be able to improve the performance of the car, based on the data collected.
Data shows the Model S prototype reaching up to 500 kW in power on the lap. The unit used is not a production model since it had some modifications on its main structure and features.
The car will come back to Nürburgring in October.
