Another expected EV by Tesla is its model Roadster, announced in 2017. When reaching the market in 2021, the car is expected to break the current record on the Nürburgring track. Right now, the record on the track is 6 minutes and 44 seconds.
The Roadster is not on top for the electric carmaker, but Elon Musk confirmed that when the car is finally revealed it will crush Nürburgring. What was previously set for a unveil in 2020 has now been postponed.
The car will feature a 200 kWh battery that will make the car travel 620 miles on a single charge. The acceleration counts with less than 2 seconds to reach 60 mph. There will also be a 3 electric motor drivetrain which will actually debut on the Model S.
Tesla Model S will reach the market in late 2020.
In an interaction with customers on Twitter, Elon Musk says he is pretty sure that the Roadster will beat the record on the track. Let’s wait for more information on the car.
