The Next Future is aiming to solve urban mobility one pod at time.
As an architect and urban planner, I am always looking for new ideas that may solve or improve traffic jams in many cities. Some projections point to an even worse future with the growth of the auto industry.
With that in mind, a young engineer Tommaso Gecchelin, turns his college graduation project into an Italian startup. It already raised more than $ 500,000 from Silicon Valley investors for the creation of The Next Future Transportation Inc. which has already produced several prototypes.
The project was created from the original idea of producing autonomous electric modules. Units can serve as individual transport or docked together to become public transport vehicles, thus allowing numerous new possibilities to offer individual, collective, urban, and long-distance.
An excellent solution to the most significant transportation problems, harmonizing traffic, while maintaining the same comfort of individual transport as we know it today, and running on-demand.
