Volkswagen ID Crozz Finally Seen

For the past three years, the Volkswagen ID Crozz has been an enigma to everyone. Now, the vehicle has been spotted, and some info came with it.

Aiming to reach and establish itself in the EV market, VW has been investing high on this kind of vehicles, such as the well-known ID. 3. The plan is to reach 100,000 VWs a year, starting in 2020.

The ID Crozz will be built in Europe, the US, and China. Those are strategic places on the globe, aiming at the global market. Meaning that, when launched, the car can get easily sold.

A report on Ladbible said that:

“Two versions of the ID Crozz will be offered. The first will be a coupé-SUV in a similar style to the original concept, and a straight SUV model(…)”

Completing the specs of the ID Crozz, a report from Autocar.co.uk stated:

” The ID Crozz is powered by the same zero-emissions driveline used by the original concept, featuring two electric motors – one mounted within the front axle, and one at the rear – powered by an 83kWh lithium-ion battery housed within the floor structure. The front electric motor sends its 101bhp and 103lb ft to the front wheels. The rear unit delivers 201bhp and 228lb ft to the rear wheels, giving the car a combined output of 302bhp and 332lb ft of torque.”
