On Tesla’s Q2 Status reveal earlier today, Elon Musk announced that JB Straubel, former Chief Technology Officer, is now switching roles to an advisory one.
Straubel has been working with Tesla since the start, and the change of positions might mean something going on inside the company. He is now a “senior advisor.”
Apparently, JB’s presence was quite rare at Tesla’s office.
According to him, the switch of positions does not affect some decisions inside the technology department of the carmaker.
