(Litchfield MN-) The Litchfield City Council decided on a new location for the electric vehicle charging station Monday night. The City found out from the State that it cannot be on Highway 12, so now it will be moved to East 4th Street – on the north side of Central Park.
City Administrator Dave Czoik says there will be diagonal parking stalls where two vehicles can be hooked up to fast-charging outlets, and where two more vehicles could share a slower charging outlet. He says ZEF Energy would like to partner with the City on the project with a $75,000 investment. People with electric cars will be able to locate the Litchfield charging stations with an app, and other locations are planned including City Hall and Memorial Park.
