The Spanish company Urbet has presented its latest project, the Urbet Nura. An exciting electric motorcycle will come to the market this August with a fascinating design, decent technical characteristics, and a very adjusted price.
It is a model equivalent to a 125 cc motorcycle, so it can be driven with the A1 card from the age of 16, which has a careful design and engineering carried out in our country. However, production according to the brand at the moment is made in China following the indications of the design department of the Spanish firm, which is in charge of supervising the entire process to achieve the highest quality standards.
The Urbet Nura has elements such as ABS brakes, tubular steel chassis with aluminum swingarm, double disc brake, reverse, full LED lighting, LCD screen and alarm with motor lock, and a total weight of 150 kilos.
It is powered by an electric motor located on the rear wheel that has a nominal power of 8 kW, enough to reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. A motor that in view of the figures will offer us a good acceleration figure thanks to its peak power that reaches 15 kW (20 hp).
According to the manufacturer, the battery is an integrated pack of 7.2 kWh at 72 V, which provides, according to the manufacturer, “a minimum autonomy of 120 km and a maximum of 120 miles.” Figures that, as usual, will depend on driving style and other external factors.
Undoubtedly, the presence of an internal charger with a Type 2 and 18 Ah socket is notable, which will allow us to charge the motorcycle at public recharging points. However, they do not give figures on the times it will take depending on the socket we use.
The Urbet Nura will begin its distribution in Spain this coming August, and it will do so at a competitive price of 8,500 euros, VAT included. A model that in a first phase will be manufactured in China, but that will soon have a production line in Malaga that will allow manufacturing to be brought closer to its sales areas.
