Tesla has just reached one million manufactured electric cars, becoming the first company to reach this milestone. Only five years ago, at the end of 2015, the company celebrated the manufacture of its 100,000th car. This allows us to get an idea of the very rapid growth that the Californian firm has experienced in recent times.
Interestingly, the 1 million unit has been precisely a Model Y. To commemorate this historic moment, Tesla has published a photo of the vehicle, painted in a beautiful red color, along with the equipment that has been responsible for manufacturing it. Elon Musk, executive director of Tesla, also did not want to miss the opportunity to echo this achievement, congratulating the company’s workers through his Twitter account.
Congratulations Tesla team on making our 1,000,000th car!! pic.twitter.com/5M99a9LLQi

The exponential growth achieved by Tesla in recent years has been possible thanks precisely to the success of Model 3, its medium sedan. This Model has become the undisputed leader of the premium D segment in the United States and Europe. However, it is also reaching considerable levels of success in China, which is currently the largest electric car market in the world.
