The name Pininfarina is already synonymous with good design, the Battista it’s no exception. The hypercar it’s already super exclusive. Only 150 units are planned to leave the factory grounds, beginning this year.
But the Italian carmaker has plans to unveil a new version of the car that only 5 will ever be made. The Battista Anniversario. This model has the intention to be a tribute to the 90th anniversary of Pininfarina Design.
“Automobili Pininfarina will present the ultimate expression of its design DNA at next month’s Geneva International Motor Show with the world premiere of the Battista Anniversario – a strictly limited volume, hand-crafted pure-electric hyper GT. The Battista Anniversario celebrates the 90th anniversary of Pininfarina – the coach builder and creator of some of the world’s most iconic car designs – and pays tribute to its founder, Battista ‘Pinin’ Farina.”
There’s no word yet on the specs of this version. Still, the company alleges that the car will be “the fastest and most powerful car ever built in Italy.” Again, since the original Battista will already be the fastest car made in the country, we may only see visual differences between the two models.
The original Battista has some incredible specs. The car can go 0-60 in under 2 seconds, has a range of 310 miles, and a top speed of 250 mph. All that powered by a 120kWh battery that can be charged from 0-80% in 40 minutes.
The Anniversario will be unveiled soon at the Geneva Auto-show.
