Cheapest Electric Car to Debut in India

The Ora R1 is 3,495 meters long, 1,660 m wide, 1,560 m high, and has a wheelbase of 2,475 m. The size is proportional to that of a Fiat Mobi. The Great Wall model has a retro-futuristic design. The car has a 47 horsepower electric motor and 12.75 km of torque. The 33 kWh battery ensures 351 km autonomy in the NEDC cycle.

The Great Wall Ora R1 is essentially an urban vehicle. It reaches a top speed of 102 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/ h in 5.6 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the fast battery charging system can guarantee up to 80% charge in about 40 minutes. When plugged into a standard outlet (3.3 kW) recharging takes about ten hours.

The car will be launched in India as the cheapest electric car in the world with a price tag of $8.6K to $11K.
