Mustang Mach-E is Profitable From the Start, Says Ford CEO

Mustang Mach-E comes to break the wrong conception that electric vehicles aren’t profitable, according to Jim Hackett, Ford CEO. The new Mach-E shows Ford’s attempt to compete with similar cars already presented by Tesla, General Motors, and others.

By the way, Tesla has seen its profits rising in recent years, and Hackett explained in an interview with Bloomberg that the Mustang Mach-E will be profitable for his company at the start of sales.

It is interesting to know that Ford wants to break the myth that electric cars make no profit. Even more with this new SUV model, the manufacturer will make a profit in less than three years from conception to sales, that’s a good mark. Ford wants to sell electric cars in China and Europe too.

Mustang Mach-E will be built in Mexico, while Ford will reshape its factories to create electric cars in the US. However, the manufacturer needs to hurry, as said in the interview, by 2030, Ford wants to be a carbon-neutral company.
