With the official release date set for tomorrow, September 4th, the Porsche Taycan has been one of the most outstanding EVs for the past few months.
The Porsche Taycan has been impressing the general public in the recent months. With outstanding performances and even greater specs, the only thing left for Porsche to reveal is the price.
The CEO of the company, Oliver Blume, commented on the speculations of the price and said it could get “priced like entry-level Panamera.” The Panamera has its price set upon $86,300. With this information it gets easier to speculate on the actual price.
This choice puts the car in the competition with another famous EV, the Tesla Model S. The vehicle from the German carmaker reached 30,000 orders at the end of July. The Taycan offers a charge power of 250 kW and 2 different battery packs: 80kWh and 96kWh. It also provides a fast charge option that can feed up 350 miles in 15 minutes. Its motors can top 600 horsepower and an acceleration of 60 mph in 3 to 5 seconds.
High expectations of the vehicle and a price to compete with other EVs are putting the Taycan at the top of the list.
