The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) rated the Tesla Model 3, and the vehicle achieved outstanding results.
It is not the first time this year that Tesla scored highly on a safety test. On European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), the Model 3 also showed impressive standards.
The 5-star evaluation is the product of also a high percentage of different categories on ANCAP’s tests. 96% on Adult Occupant Protection, 94% on Safety Assist, 87% on Child Occupant Protection, and a 74% on Vulnerable Road User Protection.
ANCAP stated:
“A score of 96% was achieved by the Tesla Model 3 for Adult Occupant Protection with full points achieved for the driver in three of four destructive crash tests. Full points were also scored by the front passenger in the frontal offset test which simulates a head-on crash. Maximum points were scored for child occupants in the side impact test.”
