Nissan Leaf Is About to Get an Update on Fast Charging

The update on the second generation of Nissan Leafs already happened in Britain and is now coming to the US.

The update on the vehicles has a reason. When needed to do long travels, the owners would fast charge he Nissan and use its capacity until it runs very low.

After that, with the charge running down a second or third time, the cars would get plugged in again, and the vehicles would go down to 50-kilowatt charge rate. The cars didn’t even fast-charged anymore after a while.

The vehicles would need a cool down before getting charged again.

This issue is what might drive customers away from Nissan Leafs, since its main competitor, Tesla, has several fast-charge stations across the US. Maybe a Model 3 suits better the extensive usage of the mile range and the battery.
