Following previous actions, Apple hires another name that worked on Tesla, Steve MacManus, which indicates that it might be investing heavily on a project of autonomous vehicles.
Steve MacManus was former vice president of engineering at Tesla and now is at a senior director role inside Apple. Bloomberg was the first to notice that Steve was working for the iPhone Maker company, on its Linkedin profile.
He is the third hire in the past year. Doug Field and Michael Scwekutsch were also part of Tesla and also arrived at the technology company.
The hiring of the new senior director could mean that Apple’s Project Titan, even though it is still a mystery, is being developed and that it might aim at Elon Musk’s philosophy. The company can use him, especially in engineering car interiors and exteriors.
