Tesla Will No Longer Offer The Free Unlimited Supercharging on its Used Cars

One of the most popular features of Tesla models, the free supercharging, will be removed.

The features were attached to vehicles Model X and S and the only wat to access it was getting a used car.

Elon Musk made a statement about the removal of the option on the cars:

“Sorry, it’s not really sustainable at volume production & doesn’t incent optimal behavior. We probably should have ended this earlier.”

What could have caused the removal of this feature is maybe reducing the number of customers that might ‘overuse’ the free supercharging. People, in a common situation, use the station and ends up getting them too crowded.

Still, what Tesla is doing on getting older cars just to remove the supposed “attractive” and selling them again is not a good strategy. This was one of the first main reasons why Tesla got big in the market. Let’s see what happens after this decision.
