Oliver Zipse is the Name That Will Take BMW’ s EV Plans Ahead

The new CEO of BMW is the right person to move forward any intentions that the carmaker company had with EVs. Oliver Zipse will take over on August 16 and promises to give more flexibility to the production of Electric Cars.

The main plan is better than it sounds. BMW wants to make its more famous cars with an electric option and not necessarily build a different line only for the EVs. This might also include Plug-in Hybrids.

The company already has a facility to build its battery cells inside the Dingolfing factory, made for the cars.

With plans to have a brand new EV by next year, the Mini Cooper SE, BMW is planning to have around 25 different models of vehicles, hybrids included. By 2023, 13 different all-electric cars.
