Nissan’s New Electric Pickup Released in China

Under China’s new rule of cleaner vehicles and sources to fuel vehicles, Nissan is taking the lead and is now launching a pickup truck.

The new Dongfeng Rich 6 EV is an electric version of the Dongfeng Rich but now converted to be powered by batteries.

While other countries wait for new pickup vehicles from Rivian or even Tesla, China will have their Nissan for an expected price of only 130,000 yuan ($18,900).

The specs of the vehicle feature double cabin that can seat 5 people and a powertrain equipped with a 160 hp/420 Nm electric motor. The battery 68 kWh pack and it might take around 45 minutes to fill 80% of its total.

The Rich 6 EV can reach 250 miles on a single charge, and the top speed can go up to 68mph.

The top speed is 110 km/h (68 mph), and the company says that it is fast-charging capable. Without confirming the max charge rate, Dongfeng says that it takes 45 minutes to get to 80% state-of-charge.
