On USA Today, Klaus Zellmer talked about the future of the commuting in America. The CEO of Porsche discussed the growing fame of Electric Vehicles and who is the main responsible for that: Tesla.
Klaus associated the turning point on the constant growth of Electric Cars to Tesla’s Model 3, and also said:
“Technology transitions are, by their nature, hard to forecast in advance. But with more than 20 years of automotive industry experience, I see clear market indicators that American consumers are about to embrace EVs as their daily drive.”
And even though Elon Musks’ company is a huge success, the prediction of Porsche’ s representative is around a market where several companies can mutually share the slice of the progress on EVs:
“In coming years we will see more widespread adoption as volume producers including General Motors, Nissan, and VW join with premium brands like Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche to launch numerous battery-only models. As more Americans experience the instant power and sporty handling that electric cars provide, more will want this new generation of electric vehicles. “
Klaus is not wrong. It is hard to predict the future, but every act of the market is pointing to a more sustainable world. Tesla might have been the first, but now, other companies are running after the same issue, probably bringing even better products.
