Mini is celebrating a new production milestone with over 11,000 Mini Cooper SEs coming off its line at its production plant in Oxford, England. A little over a year ago Mini debuted its first electric model, the Mini Cooper SE. Demand has continued to be strong since its debut with over 90,000 reservations to date.

The Mini Cooper SE comes with a starting of $29,000. It is powered by an electric motor equipped with 181 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque. On a single charge it has an EPA-rated range of 110 miles thanks to a 32.6 kWh pack.
Director of Mini UK, David George said about the accomplishment “We’re delighted the Mini Electric is such a success in the UK and that our customers love the car as much as we do.” George added “It’s fantastic to see the growing popularity of electrified vehicles – the UK already accounts for nearly a fifth of global Mini Electric and Mini Countryman Plug-In Hybrid sales and we know that demand is increasing.”
