Subaru has confirmed the name of its new model, Evoltis. The Subaru Evoltis will initially be based on Toyota’s e-TNGA electric modular platform. Also, if the Japanese giant is finally able to meet the deadlines, it will be launched with very modern solid electrolyte batteries that will give it a broad autonomy, short charge times, and a very long service life.
Although Toyota will be in charge of tuning the batteries, Subaru will also contribute its bit to the powertrain of the electric twins. Taking advantage of its extensive experience in off-road vehicles, it will develop an advanced all-wheel-drive system (possibly both models employ two engines, electric, one on each axle) that will offer excellent off-piste performance, thus maintaining the brand’s adventurous philosophy.
