Tesla Announces First Quarter 2020 Results: Production and Deliveries Above Expected

Tesla

Tesla has just announced its corresponding results with the first quarter of 2020, surprising locals and foreigners by achieving very high numbers despite the coronavirus crisis. During the first three months of the year, it has been able to deliver more than 88,000 units, making this period the best first quarter in Tesla’s history.

Despite the difficulties, the firm has managed to stay very close to its previous record of 105,000 vehicles produced, which was achieved in the fourth quarter of 2019. Deliveries have fallen far short of the prior record of 112,000 units. In total, Tesla has produced 15,390 units of the Model S and Model X, delivering 12,200. In the case of the Model 3 and Model Y, the 87,282 units were reached, with 76,200 deliveries.

Quite possible, the production of the Model Y takes off. A model that, according to Tesla, will exceed the combined sales of the Model S, Model X, and Model 3.
