Hyundai to Start IONIQ 5 Sales in Early 2021

Next year, Hyundai’s electric car program will experience a strong boost with the new generation’s arrival that will be identified under the name IONIQ. The first model to land will be IONIQ 5. A compact SUV that will be placed in the Volkswagen ID.4 and company segment, with its 4.63 meters long and an attractive design that will appeal to the emotional side of the driver.

According to the latest information, this promising model will open its sales process during the first quarter of 2021—a phase before the start of deliveries that will take place before June. Undoubtedly, fascinating deadlines will allow Hyundai to add a fair amount of sales in the second half.

In addition to its technical and design aspect, a model also wants to stand out for the spacious interior space that will benefit from the use of the new E-GMP platform, which will increase the space in the trunk also that available for passengers.

The first step in this new generation will be followed in successive years with the launch of a new model each year. All to reach 2025 with 16 new electric vehicles in its catalog, which will allow it to achieve deliveries of more than 500,000 units or 10% of its global sales.
