Porsche’s First Super Bowl Ad Since 1997 Brings an All-electric Taycan

Since 1997 the German automaker Porsche has not made an announcement during the Super Bowl. Now it comes with an all-electric Taycan. The ad is titled “The Chase” and is scheduled to air during the first quarter of the game on February 4th.

It is shown in the commercial the guards from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, running in different Porshe vehicles after the Taycan Turno S. We can see that the thief is another security guard from the same museum.

An ad released during the Super Bowl is always something big for any brand, and Porsche wants to attract new costumers and catch the attention of the Porsche owners community to the new all-electric car.

Initially, the Taycan Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo were available with the same versions as the sedan (4S, Turbo, and Turbo S). However, an access version with a rear-wheel-drive instead of the all-wheel-drive may have been added later. The Taycan 4S can be chosen with both the 79.2 kWh Performance battery and the 93.4 kWh Performance Plus battery.

It is highly probable that the Taycan Sport Turismo has benefits and autonomy inferior to those of a Taycan sedan of equivalent power and battery. At the same time, the Taycan Cross Turismo will foreseeably be overtaken by Sport Tourism in all these sections.
