Tesla has been enhancing its autopilot system in recent years through general improvements to its computer vision system, which is fed with images from its fleet of hundreds of thousands of vehicles.
Earlier this year, Musk said Tesla’s efforts to improve autopilot would lead to a fully autonomous system by the end of next year. The company has been working on integrating construction zone navigation in autopilot for a long time, and now it’s able to identify traffic cones on the road as shown in this video.
and finally a bit of construction zone (this is the only one of the set where AP is actually on), nothing groundbreaking since it was widely reported already long ago, but still interesting to see it “from the inside”: pic.twitter.com/TmGkqhGPQz

The automaker recalls that, although its active safety system is capable of preventing accidents, it is still not perfect. Drivers should always pay attention and Tesla recommends that: “All drivers need to pay attention, and no car can avoid all accidents, but these features help make safer driving every day.”
