Hyundai Announces Solar Panels on Car’s Roofs

Hyundai announced the release of its solar roof charging system.

Last Friday the company said that the technology will be used in versions of the Sonata Hybrid, followed by other vehicles on the next few years.

The solar panels on the roof of the car will increase fuel efficiency, according to Hyundai. Also, the system can charge the vehicle while moving.

The battery of the car can use between 30 to 60% out of this new technology, and with around six hours of charge, per day, the range can be increased in 807 miles a year.

It is not the first vehicle to adopt this technology, but these Hyundais are only available in South Korea and soon in North America.
